BT Ireland has announced a leadership change as Shay Walsh steps down after a decade as Managing Director and Country Host. Effective 1 September 2025, Carol Connolly, currently Country Operations Manager, will take over as Country Host. This transition aligns with BT Ireland’s ongoing transformation programme, which supports the company’s global strategy and includes divestment of certain business units. Chet Patel, MD of BT’s Portfolio Businesses, praised Walsh’s 29-year tenure and his role in shaping BT Ireland’s culture and reputation. Connolly’s appointment marks a new chapter, leveraging her deep business knowledge and leadership experience to guide BT Ireland forward.
