BT is one of the world’s leading providers of communications services and solutions, serving customers in 180 countries.
In Ireland, we operate globally and deliver locally, serving multinational corporations, indigenous exporters and public sector organisations in every segment of the Irish economy, as well as other major communications providers through our wholesale site.
Our portfolio is a powerful combination of cloud services, global networking, IT integration, carrier voice and data services, contact centre solutions and professional security expertise, enabling customers to solve complex business communications requirements on a global scale. Our network and integrated solutions enable our customers (and in turn, their customers) to communicate, collaborate and connect easily and securely to the applications and data they need, no matter when they need them, and where they’re based.
We’re global, but we’re local too
With a global network in 198 countries and territories, BT Ireland is uniquely positioned to serve companies with international communications needs and to scale up as they expand – from global multi-nationals headquartered in Ireland to local exporters targeting new markets. As a wholesale provider, we also enable local service providers to expand their reach on a global scale and help international carriers provide communications services to clients located in Ireland.
We know that one size doesn’t fit all
BT Ireland combines the network, the expertise, and the partnerships to provide integrated and tailored solutions that support our customers through complex digital transformation. By approaching problems in an integrated, end-to-end way, our solutions are streamlined, more secure, and more efficient.
We’re trusted in our delivery
BT is trusted by customers to securely deliver critical and complex projects and services for their organisations, and to provide industry-recognised solutions which accelerate their delivery.
We’re innovative in our thinking
BT doesn’t just provide a network: it’s leading the industry in communications innovation, by enabling technology to transform the way businesses operate — realising the possibilities of the cloud, building intelligent networks, pre-empting and solving emerging cyber threats, developing agile contact centres, and pushing the boundaries for network speed.
We’re invested in Ireland
BT is invested in Ireland, both as an employer of more than 600 people across five cities, and as a provider of the network, infrastructure, services and skills that are integral to foreign direct investment and Ireland’s economic growth and success.
We are proud to organise the annual BT Young Scientist & Technology Exhibition for the 17th year, designed to raise school engagement in STEM subjects and help nurture local talent and skills for the workforce.

BT Ireland by the Numbers
BT is one of the world’s leading providers of communications services and solutions. Here in Ireland, our unique global reach, scope, and expertise help customers with a local presence solve their most complex business communications challenges on a worldwide scale.
The BT Young Scientist and Technology Exhibition is a powerful, grassroots initiative designed to increase schools’ engagement in the critical subjects of science, technology, engineering and maths.
The exhibition fosters innovation and entrepreneurship in the workforce of tomorrow, and provides a mechanism for new ideas and discoveries to positively impact society and the economy. It is BT’s largest corporate social responsibility enterprise and is organised in its entirety by BT and supported by some 200 BT people who act as volunteers to help run the exhibition each year.
Now in its 55th year, the Exhibition today is one of the country’s most popular science and technology festivals, welcoming over 50,000 visitors to the RDS Dublin over three days.
BT is committed to using the power of communications technology to improve lives and ways of doing business – without it costing the earth. We do this through our Purposeful Business programme which focuses on three main areas – connecting people digitally, making sure we do more environmental good than harm and providing skills and technology to support good causes.
Employee involvement is a key element of this programme and BT Ireland people are actively involved in many initiatives in our lives.
