BT Shop for Change

BT Shop for Change

The sixth annual BT Shop for Change is back in aid of Irish Cancer Society and Marie Curie NI. BT is asking employees to use their time, talents and skills to drive awareness, donations and sales to support cancer research and care for people living with terminal illnesses.

On 19 October, more than 250  BT employees across the island of Ireland will take over 25 Irish Cancer Society and Marie Curie charity shops as part of BT Shop for Change. Employees will be using all their resources and skills to fill the shops with high-quality stock; attract customers; and raise crucial funds for cancer research and care. The money raised will help the Society fund innovative cancer research projects and Marie Curie provide support for patients and their families.

Over the last six years, the BT volunteering initiative has raised €500,000 for the two charities. To continue this success, the public are invited to donate their unwanted clothes, accessories, books, homeware and bric-a-brac to a participating store, and to drop back on October 19 to pick up a range of specially donated items, exclusive to BT Shop for Change.

For more information on the campaign follow @BTinIreland on Twitter #BTShopforChange.
