A global leader in delivering payment solutions needed BT to extend its network infrastructure and facilitate further European growth



Elavon went to tender looking for a telecoms provider that could give the hospital the resilience it badly needed, with an optimised network for voice and data traffic.


BT won the contract and delivered a suite of products, including BT Direct Voice, BT Telenumbers, a 10MB radio link and DDI (Direct Dialling In) routing with 500 lines.


The connection back to UPMC in the States, used for medical imaging and real-time interaction with doctors, is much more resilient and always available if there is an emergency.
