BT offer a range of Telenumber services to meet the specific needs of your business.

 

Freephone numbers – 1800

These numbers are designed to make it easy for customers to contact you. A 1800 number can be called free by your customer from anywhere in the Republic of Ireland. This service is most suitable for driving sales and enhancing customer care.

Shared rate numbers – 1850

With an 1850 shared rate number the caller will be charged a fixed fee per call. The receiver of the call will pay the balance. This means the receiver will initially get an amount of free seconds and will subsequently pay for the call on a per minute basis. This service is ideal for generating inbound calls without having to pay the full cost of the call.

 

Local rate numbers – 1890

With a 1890 Local rate number the caller pays the ongoing local call charge and the receiver pays a fixed fee per call (if the caller is mobile this will attract additional levies per minute). This service is most suitable for long duration customer service calls or technical support calls as the cost of the call is more evenly shared.

National rate numbers – 0818

0818 national rate numbers enable callers to contact you without your business incurring any costs to receive them. The caller pays a per minute charge (fixed callers cent per minute rate typically €0.05, mobile callers cent per minute rates vary), while the receiver pays nothing.

• Allows customers to contact you without your business incurring the costs of receiving calls
• No levies applicable to your business for calls which originate from mobiles
